Worship in our Grief

“The Lord is my strength and my song, and He is become my salvation!” (Exodus 15:2)

C.H. Surgeon reminds us that in our grief, “This worship sweetens sorrow and takes away the sting.”

Jesus never promised us a life without pain. He did not promise that we would never experience grief, sorrow, disappointments, sickness, loss or pain but He promised that His presence, strength and peace is with us. He has the ultimate victory over sin and death.

He promised that we will never go through the storms of life – – – alone.

“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33, NIV).
